The Appeals Board found good cause to extend the lien filing deadline to June 9, 2020 due to due process rights and COVID-19 shutdown exigencies, overruling the WCJ's denial of relief.
From the decision · page 20ORDER IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT good cause was demonstrated to grant relief to extend the January 21, 2020 order that lien claimant file any new liens within 30 days to June 9, 2020 based on the due process rights of all parties to reasonable notice and an opportunity to be heard and the public policy that the law favors hearings on the merits.
